The location, next to a beautiful river, added to the peaceful and serene atmosphere. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, location, and staff were all exceptional.

I recently stayed at Original North in Athaldalur for two nights and it was an amazing experience. The glamping exceeded all my expectations, with spacious and beautifully decorated tents that were larger than any hotel room I've stayed in. The bed, linens, and pillows were top-notch, providing the best night's sleep I've had in Iceland. The wifi was reliable, the breakfast was delicious, and the owners were incredibly hospitable, even waiting up for us when we arrived late at night. I highly recommend this unique and welcoming place for couples or families looking for a memorable stay in the north of Iceland.

The campsite also had stable wifi and a guest kitchen stocked with complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. I was lucky enough to witness the mesmerizing Northern Lights during my stay. I highly recommend this campsite for an unforgettable glamping experience in Iceland.

Bathroom facilities need improvement.

The room at Camp Boutique - Original North was cozy and inviting. It had a warm and homely atmosphere that made me feel comfortable and at ease. The free WiFi was a great bonus, allowing me to stay connected during my stay. With three bathrooms and showers, I never had to wait in line. All in all, I loved the room and its amenities.

I personally found the soap provided in the bathrooms to be a bit drying on my skin. But hey, that's just my preference, others might still enjoy it!

We had an amazing Easter weekend at this place. the location was perfect, with everything we wanted to see in North Iceland nearby. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. the tents were cozy and nicely furnished, and the beds were comfortable. We also loved being able to cook our own meals in the well-stocked kitchen. One of the best aspects was the beautiful view from our tents - it was simply spectacular.

Just a minor point, but it would have been nice to have a hook in the tents for the lantern. We ended up using a USB cable to tie it to the main beam for better lighting.

I always stay at this amazing place in Athaldalur. The staff helped me with plug adaptors during my first visit. It has Free Wi-Fi, Off-site car park, Shared kitchen, Cots, and no pets/smoking. Can't wait to come back for Christmas!

What a lovely stay we had at this stunning place! We used it as our base to explore the north of Iceland, and it exceeded all our expectations. The owners, who are the 4th generation to live on the property, were gracious and accommodating hosts. The tents were beautifully furnished and equipped with carpets, electric blankets, and even decent wifi! The bathrooms and showers were very clean. The setting was tranquil and we enjoyed watching the ducks and their ducklings on the river. If you love the outdoors and want to sleep in plush comfort, this is the perfect place for you.
